numberformat - problem
2000-08-29 05:26:04
Hi *SM'ers,
if I try to take the session-# of a "Q SESSION"-o/p with the mouse
for e.g. "Q SE <mouse-field> F=D" I ALWAYS have to edit the o/p of the
session-#( i.e. the <mouse-field> ) if this # is > 999.
(Similar problems arise e.g. by a tokensised processing of a "Q OCCU"
if the # of files gets > 999).
Q: Is there a simple way on AIX to have an o/p of a number simply BE a
number WITHOUT ANY fancy commercialised editing (available by using
the "numberformat" in dsm.sys / dsm.opt) ?
I really don't want such "nice" editing, but just PLAIN numbers. If I need
some editing, I do by my own and know what I'm doing.
