I'll have to ask a stup question.

I'm not sure what you mean to disable.  In NT 4 - I can go into Control
Panel Devices and disable a specific driver.

Are you saying to disable the drive under Tape Drives under Device Manager?

Under System Devices - I don't see any Tape drivers loaded.
