I'm sorry but I dont't have nothing to say about your problem, but I'm
interested in how you do Oracle database backups. Can you give me more
information about the script you mention?
The only thing I can suggest you is to set a cron to look for dsmc running, if
it is not running start it. We have something like this in ours Unix servers.
