Here is how we did our AIX ADSM/TSM server upgrades...
we did back them up first but then did the install of TSM3.7.0.0 (which
found the existing ADSM code and "upgraded")
then put on the .2.0 fix to put us at 3.7.2.0 which is where/when we gave it
back to the client boxes for use.
there was no "restore" of the data base required... I'd worry about anything
that would require that sort of action.
