Hi,

I have a situation and I need an advice here and all suggestions and comments
are welcomed. The ADSM server is an AIX server release 4.2.1. ADSM its self is
3.1.2.57. The backuppool and ADSM database volumes are reaching the limit. I
have received six SSA disks (each 4.5 GB). The database volumes are mirrored
and I want to add two SSA disks to the current database volumes; and 4 SSA
disks to backuppool. The following command output shows the current database
volumes setup:

Volume Name Copy Volume Name Copy Volume
Name Copy
(Copy 1) Status (Copy 2) Status
    (Copy 3) Status
---------------- ------ ----------------
------ ---------------- ------
  ------ ---------------- ------
/dev/radsmdb2 Sync'd /dev/radsmdbm2 Sync'd Undef-

You will notice that each database volume is mirrored. My question is what is
the best way to add volumes to backuppool and database volumes. Shall I add the
SSA disk and mirror it to current ADSM database volume as a third volume. In
addition, I would like to know what is the best way to add the four SSA disks
to backuppool. I have already defined the 4 SSA disk to backuppool in AIX, but
ADSM did not see it yet.

Your help in this matter is highly appreciated.

Best Regards
