The 9310 is shared by a RS/6000 S7A and a RS/6000 R50. So far we have no
problems by the TSM/ACSLS Interface. Actually we are running ADSM 3.1 on the
server and ACSLS 5.3 on a solaris box. The primary reason why we would like to
deploy Fibre Channel attached devices is tape drive sharing. At present we have
dedicated four tape drives to each ADSM Server. With dynamic tape drive sharing
we hope we can reduce the total amount of tape drives we need. Until now I have
no official statement from IBM which version of TSM will support our
configuration, but I heard from several sources that it should work.
