Thanks for all the responses. Simply redirecting stdin doesn't work on
either of my H70's as per:

Nohup dsmc sched >/dev/null 2>&1 </dev/null &

Regardless of what I try with the nohup command, they die.. But I found an
easy work-around.. Start the scheduler with the "at" command..

i.e.:

#at now
dsmc sched >/dev/null 2>&1
>ctrl-d<

this works perfectly.. in case anyone runs into the problem in the future.
Btw I am indeed running 4.3.3 on a pair of h70's with the latest TSM client
software (3.7.2)
