Michael,

        Do not delete them.  You are correct in that they are your database
and log files for TSM.  IF you delete them, you lose TSM.

You can create new, larger files for the database and log volumes, assign
them, and move the data from their current volumes to the new ones.  Then
delete the old ones, moving and deleting the volumes one at a time, i.e.
move data db.dsm, del v db.dsm to empty and delete the volume db.dsm.
