I know this has come up before, but a search of the archive always times
out before I find anything useful.
A WinNT client, running 3.7.1, fails every night with the same error (of
course, this had been going on for months before I was told):
from the dsmsched.log
05/07/2000 00:42:54 --- SCHEDULEREC OBJECT BEGIN AIS-SERV 05/07/2000 00:30:00
05/07/2000 00:42:54 Incremental backup of volume '\\SIMS-CAD\D$'
05/07/2000 00:42:54 Incremental backup of volume '\\SIMS-CAD\C$'
05/07/2000 00:42:55 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\sims-cad\d$' failed
05/07/2000 00:42:56 ANS4000E Error processing '\\sims-cad\d$': file space
does not exist
and from the dsmerror.log
05/07/2000 00:42:54 fsCheckAdd: unable to stat local filespace \\sims-cad\d$
05/07/2000 00:42:55 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\sims-cad\d$' failed
05/07/2000 00:42:55 ANS1088E File space '\\sims-cad\d$' does not exist
Every morning, the admin goes in and does a backup of the filespace
manually, which succeeds.
Thanks for all assistance.
