Do not create a new device class for your new library. The storage
pools have an associated device class and you can not change the device
class parameter of an existing storage pool. You can change the library
name parameter in a device class.
These are the steps that I have followed when putting in a new
library,
1. Delete the drive definitions (I think you have to do this to make
changes to the library).
2. Update the existing library deviceparameter to the new device (such as
i.e AIX = /dev/smc0 to /dev/smc1).
3. Redefine the drives.
4. Move tapes to new library.
5. Run an audit on the new library.
6. Run a checkin.
