Our script runs and processes each file system mount point. 1 process
submitted for each CPU the client has.
My system backups (9) run less than an hour except for the main production
system which has large vista partitions on it and it runs about 3-4 hours.
I have other smaller databases that are staggered and backup much less data.
I periodically run backup stgpool to get the data offsite and we keep the
data on disk to speed up restore time (If needed) till the next morning. I
then migrate (Flush) all the disk pools to the primary tape pool.
We run HPUX Ignite Monthly (To aid our incremental forever........a
discussion I am not adding to). We also run mksysb on the RS6K every month
also.
