I could not even get a connection to Boulder;  I went to the old, reliable
index server and downloaded the 10MB tar file, along with the 2 readme
files... took a long time (as usual) but it did complete.  I have found it
works better if I only run one download thread;  trying to run more often
results in all of them getting "hung".
