Larry,
1. What level of the SQL Application Client are you running?
2. What is the EXACT command-line syntax that you are using?
3. Did you try specifying /SQLUSER: and /SQLPWD: or /SQLSECURE options?
4. Are your running on a cluster server? (MSCS)
5. What happens when you use the "/SQLSERVER:your-server-name" option?

Hi:
We currently have 5 MS-SQL Agents and 4 run with no problem.
The one with the problem ( not doing a scheduled backup ) has this error in
the dsmsched.log: AC04210E
A backup using the GUI does run with no problems and has the password saved
so I am assuming it is not a userid / password problem to the database.
This particular database is on a proxy server.
Any suggestions on determining the cause of the connection error?
