Hi!
First step in asking "why incremental forever"
should be an answer - and try to answer it yourself - why
"you do fulls every week".
I cannot remember having found this approach
in The Ten Commandements,
so alternatives should be allowed (grin).
Once you have this answer, then ask
about incrementals forever again,
about that how they work, what advantages and
disadvantages they have.
Only then you will be able to compare this 2 approaches.
There, in your comparision, you will easilly find your answer.
