Thanks for the suggestions from various people re the above.

I called Tivoli support and was reassured that this was a well known
problem which would be fixed by upgrading from 3.1.2.40 to 3.1.2.50 (and
then it was strongly recommended to apply 3.1.2.55) and then running an
audit db. Apparently the audit db in versions earlier than 3.1.2.50 will
not be able to correct this particular issue.

I've followed the advice and it's worked a treat. For your information, to
run audit db against a 3GB database took 7.5 hours.

Salak, Gruss Di'! I was much amused by your instructions to halt ADSM and
start an audit db right away. Unfortunately such things need to be
scheduled but I appreciate the spirit it which your note was sent. Viel
spass in Oesterreich wuensch ich Dir!
