All,

Our TSM Server version is 3.1.2.50. We are currently using the BACKINT
interface to backup our Oracle/SAP databases. These Oracle database
(BACKINT) backups are taken directly to Tape Storage Pool which is in turn
backed up to a Copy Storage Pool on a daily basis.

Are there any reasons (besides time and tape drive considerations) why we
should *NOT* perform space reclamation for our Oracle/SAP databases'
(BACKINT) Tape and Copy Storage Pools?

Our Oracle archived redo logs are first backed up to Disk Storage Pools
which in turn get backed up to Tape and then to Copy Storage Pools. We are
performing space reclamation on the Oracle archived redo log Tape and Copy
Storage Pools on a daily basis.

All feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your
support on this matter.
