Not knowing what platform/version I'm guessing AIX and Oracle 8.

In addition to the suggestions you already have received...... and noting
nothing has changed

1) Check to see if oracle was relinked........ I believe the default oracle stub
     for libobk.a may write to disk by default. You may have to relink the 
correct
    one.
2) Check oracle environmental variables..... identify the location of your logs
3) Check the sbtio.log
