Hi All,
Anyone find that the exclude list is not being processed correctly on
TSM 3.7.1 under Solaris 2.6? If I run dsm, it seems to "obey" the exclude
list, not letting me backup the filesystem "/root.b". However, the "dsmc
sch" and "dsmc i" processes are backing it up, seemingly ignoreing the
exclude file.
/etc/adsm.exclude contains:
exclude.fs /root.b
...and at the beginning of the scheduled backup:
Executing scheduled command now.
03/29/00 06:52:18
Executing Operating System command or script:
/usr/ucb/touch /tmp/adsm.PREscheduledcmd
03/29/00 06:52:18 Finished command. Return code is:
0
03/29/00 06:52:18 --- SCHEDULEREC OBJECT BEGIN 1TIME 03/29/00 06:45:00
03/29/00 06:52:19 Incremental backup of volume '/'
03/29/00 06:52:19 Incremental backup of volume '/u'
03/29/00 06:52:19 Incremental backup of volume '/root.b'
....
and it does backup /root.b.
...and dsmc i does too:
(6:59am)[rexx]{/source/adsm/solaris/v3r7}> sudo dsmc i /root.b -se=aix

dsm, however, does not show it to me for backup under the machine's
"local" expansion, and it correctly displays the exclude file info under
"Edit-Preferences".
Just in case, here is my entire exclude file, which worked just fine with
3.1.06:
* Default exclusion file for SunOS
*
exclude /unix
exclude /.../core
*exclude /.../tmp/.../*
exclude /var/adm/log/adsm.schedlog

Any ideas?
