Unisys has developed a mainframe box (codename ES7000).
It has the destinct specs of an OS/390 server. Fault tolerancy,
upgradeability and so on.
It can be partitioned at OS-level and has (for now) a maximum of 32 Intel
Based cpu's.
It is completely Microsoft supported.

This could bring down the TCO drastically.
