The horror stories about ADSM and 390 are no longer valid and have been put to
rest with new TCPIP and TSM.
   IBM and Tivoli have a performance web site just for TSM and 390.   The
platform (390) will be a strategic player in SAN.

Subject:  TSM 3.7 in an OS/390 environment



Hello all,
I am somewhat new to the administration side of the ADSM and I have the task
of upgrading a 6 year old ADSM (AIX) implementation. I am seriously
considering implementing TSM 3.7 on our OS/390 platform. I have heard some
horror story of ADSM's performance in the MVS-OS/390 environment, but I have
also heard there has been considerable performance enhancements to TSM 3.7
running on OS/390.

Does anyone have any insight or views on this??
