In a lot of cases when clients are decommissioned the owner of the client
may really only care about the active data being retained for a specific
length of time.

In these scenarios what I have done is run an archive for that particular
client prior to decommission, followed by a delete filespace type=backup. It
saved me having to remember to delete the filespaces at a later date.

Worked for me, but your requirements may differ.
