Thanks.  We have 3590s on one of our new systems but have not yet tested ADSM
with them.  From your experience, it appears that we can skip the test of the
3590s for any performance improvements.

Could you tell me a little bit more about your environment.  Specifically, I
would be interested in the type of network that you run over, the size of the
AS/400 and the types of clients that are being used.  If we could get to the 2.5
GB per hour, people here would be ecstatic.

The tape drive is not a critical factor.  I observed that the tape waits for
TSM/400 to deliver data.  I worked with 3570 and 3590 drives.
