Mehdi - From my experience with the *SM clients, there is no way to
        circumvent the limitation across different operating systems
(which also have no mutual file system type support).  Your only
recourse would be to perform the query from the client which owns
the files, another client of the same type, or perform inspections
from within the server.  Beyond that, appeal for remediation through
ADSM-R.  While one would not expect incompatible clients to be able
to work with each others filespaces, one should be able to perform
basic queries.
