I don't recall any error messages during the MAKE. I did check out the
sbtio.log, thanks for pointing that out. Here is what it's saying in the
sbtio.log :

Jeff,
Your message appears to be somewhat garbled in transmission. Based
on what I see, I would recommend reviewing the configuration variables
required per the agent installation guide. You may also look in the Oracle
home directory for the file "sbtio.log"; it will contain additional
information about the error condition. Also make sure the libraries are in
synch and no errors were encountered in the "make" processing.
I am running TSM 3.1.2.54 on AIX 4.3.1 with the latest agent
(U457552C) from the IBM/Tivoli FTP sites. I have had these problems happen
in the past when updates are made to the Oracle software which wipes out the
library "make" updates.
Hope this helps or points you in the right direction.
