Hi there,
We are currently running ADSM server 3.1.20 for NT, backing up NT / Netware
and OS/2 clients. We are having a problem with some of the OS/2 clients
(ADSM version 3.1.6) where there are a large number of files in a single
directory (e.g. one directory has 80,000+ files, another has 200,000+
files) It appears that the client times out while trying to access the
directory

The errors below are examples of what we get in the dsmerror.log.

03/13/2000 13:53:12 TcpOpen(): setsockopt(SO_SNDBUF): errno = 10055
03/13/2000 13:53:12 TcpOpen(): setsockopt(SO_RCVBUF): errno = 10055
03/13/2000 13:53:12 TcpOpen(): setsockopt failed on one or more options
03/13/2000 14:44:44 commtcp.c (1565): TcpFlush: Error 10032 sending data on
 Tcp/Ip socket 1781.
03/13/2000 14:44:44 session.c (1805): sessFlushVerb: Error from buffer

03/13/2000 14:44:44 commtcp.c (1565): TcpFlush: Error 10032 sending data on

03/13/2000 14:47:02 commtcp.c ( 997): TcpOpen(): setsockopt(SO_SNDBUF):
errno = 10055
03/13/2000 14:47:02 commtcp.c (1008): TcpOpen(): setsockopt(SO_RCVBUF):
errno = 10055
03/13/2000 14:47:02 commtcp.c (1032): TcpOpen(): setsockopt failed on one
or more options
03/13/2000 15:17:08 commtcp.c (1565): TcpFlush: Error 10032 sending data on
 Tcp/Ip socket 317.
03/13/2000 15:17:08 session.c (1805): sessFlushVerb: Error from buffer
flush, rc: -50
03/13/2000 15:17:08 commtcp.c (1565): TcpFlush: Error 10032 sending data on
 Tcp/Ip socket 317.

Everything else on the OS/2 client backs up OK.

Can anyone shed any light on this??

Thanks

John
