By theory one should be able to set the DSMI_DIR and DSMI_CONFIG environment
variables to point to the api directory and config file, however I was not able
to do so. After some trial-error testing - if I remember correctly - I ended up
to put the dsm.opt file the same place where the api dll-s were located,
to c:\winnt\system32. It was long ago, so please forgive me if it's not
correct. The client level was 3.1.0.7.
