We converted our two servers on OS/390 2.7 about 6 weeks ago with no
issues to speak of.  Conversion basically consists only of running
SMPE install and then 'UPGRADEDB', which runs for 5-10 minutes.

Clients are being upgraded as time allows or necessity requires.

Hello everyone,

   We are looking into converting our OS/390 2.8 ADSM 3.1.2.50 server and
3.1.0.7 client levels to Tivoli Storage Manager 3.7. I was wondering if anyone
out here has accomplished this yet and if so how did you approach this
conversion. What I am looking for is just a  quick overview of the conversion
process. Did you convert all clients to 3.7 first and then the server or both at
the same time or the server first and then the clients? Any problems or
difficulties?

    I would appreciate any information that you could provide.
