I may be missing somethere here, but aren't the tape formats the same
with ADSM, no matter what server you use?

In which case you could just swap the library, restore the DB onto the
new machine  & away you go.  There may be a couple of other things to
do but it would be like a DR exercise, but using a different server
platform.
