According to the "q vol l01106 f=d" output, the volume has data on i
(filling state rather than empty).  If you really want to delete the
volume, you need to add a "discard=yes" to the command.

Probably better would be to "move data l01106 stg=novel_tpool" to get the
last of the data from the tape.  At that point, ADSM should delete the
volume for you, returning it to scratch status.
