David,
volume L01106 probably contains some data. You can use command "q act
search=delete" after "del vol ..." - it gives output like this: ANR2406E
DELETE VOLUME: Volume L01106 still contains data. If data are not requisite
("q cont L01106"), you can delete volume by using parameter DISCARDDATA -
"del vol L01106 discardd=yes", or you can reclaim volume first.
