Thanks Richard, I think my brain died sometime in the last few months!
That makes sense : the second disk's copy of the database is kept up
to date all the time and there is a one off saving of the OS/LM image
on the second disk (and presumably when the OS/LM is updated it is
saved again then). Otherwise when a primary disk dies, they have to
load on all the software, LM software and patches etc - which can take
several hours.
