I would suggest that you just back it up live - never caused any problem in my
experience.
Shared Dynamic of course. It may be worth testing it first to increase your
confidence:
Check the client log to see which files it retried on and eventually backed up
then restore this and test it for integrity.

Gerald,
There is not an "agent" to backup Notes on a NetWare server. The only
Notes agents that are available are for AIX, Solaris, MVS USS, and NT
I believe.
So the best way to backup your Notes environment is to bring Notes down
each time you will be backing it up and performing a normal *SM
incremental.
