unable to delete volume
2000-02-07 10:04:00
Hi
My environment is AIX 4.3.2 and ADSM Server 3.1.2.40.
I can´t delete a volume who belongs to a backup storage pool. The volume seems
to be empty, even if i perform "q cont" nothing appears. When i try "del vol
xxxx discardd=yes" i get the following response in the activity log:
ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command: DELETE VOLUME 00F088
discarddata=yes
ANR1423W Scratch volume 00F088 is empty but will not be deleted - volume access
mode is "offsite".
So i try to change the access mode to readwrite, and then:
ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command: UPDATE VOLUME 00f088
access=readwrite
ANR9999D asvol.c(2737): Volume 00F088 cannot be deleted to SCRATCH - it still
has SEGMENT references.
ANR9999D asvol.c(1630): Unknown result code (267) while deleting a volume.
ANR2032E UPDATE VOLUME: Command failed - internal server error detected.
I don´t know why the volume can't be deleted.
I'm not using move media features.
I have try "audit db fix=yes" and "audit reclaim" and all is OK.
Anyone can help me ?
Regards
Carlos Raso
