Phil,

If you get the latest PTF (1.1.2) of TDP for SQL,
it automatically excludes tempdb for SQL 7.0 backups.

Thanks,

Del

Is there a way to exclude the tempdb when using the ADSM Connect Agent to
backup up SQL Server? The current job our DBA has setup backups all the
databases but he gets a return code of failure because the tempdb cannot be
backed up. The documentation says to do something like:

sqldsmc /backupfull:a*
sqldsmc /backupfull:b*
.
.
.
sqldsmc /backupfull:(database name that starts with t)
ect.
ect.

The other option would be to specify each database name individually, but
then you run the risk of "forgetting" to add new databases to the list.

This is a bit unmanageable.

Thanks in advance.
