Let me re phrase my earlier question

IF i have a 3590 B11 connected to an Rs/6000, It has a 10 cartridge
stacker...
Do i define it as aautomated tape library as in: DEFINE LIBRARY 3590LIB
LIBTYPE=SCSI DEVICE=/DEV/RMT1
or
as a manuallib : DEFINE LIBRARY 3590LIB LIBTYPE=MANUALLIB
