Look at the install directory 3.1.2.0 was by default installed to the win32app
dir whereas 3.1.2.50 will instal to the program files dir. Do a custom install
and choose the dir the old install is in. This should work . It worked for me.

Subject: Re: Upgrading NT Server from 3.1.2.0 to 3.1.2.50

Just to re-ask the same question.
I have a NT system running 3.1.2.0 and want to upgrade to one of the later
releases, I have run the setup for 3.1.2.50 but it did not detect my
previous install, and I do not want to have to restore the whole server.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? (I am also finding out about upgrading to
TSM 3.7 and the costs but this will take time to get through the system)

Cheers for any advice....

Hello, I have inherited an ADSM NT Server and wanted to
upgrade it. I was
wondering if anyone has done this on the NT platform and if
it was
straight-forward or not. Looks like I just run the
self-extracting file and then
setup?? What kind of info will I need for subsequent setup
questions?
