My site s Unix administrators are novices when it comes to the ADSM
software.  There are a few things I d like to do so if someone could tell me
if I m on the right take I d really appreciate it.

Can files be excluded from backups?  We have large temporary files that are
generated every evening that the backup system catches yet the files never
need to be recovered.  Is the follwoing syntax correct and in which file
does this line go?
  Exclude /.../*.tmp

There are literally thousands of these files totaling a couple of gigs.
Will using an exclude remove files already on backups from the backup tape
or do we have to do something else?
