A usage note on SETOPT:
The v3 SETOPT command is nice in allowing changes to *SM server options which
would otherwise require restarting the server. However, be aware that it is
crudely implemented (even at 3.1.2.50 level): The resulting ANR2119I message
says that it has changed the option in the options file - but instead of
actually changing the option in the dsmserv.opt file it adds another instance
of the option with a new value to the end of the file, and without a newline.
So repeated use of SETOPT can leave your server options file littered with
multiple instances of options, making it ripe for error and confusion when you
periodically go in to manually make an adjustment.

Server developers:
Please further that section of the server software so that it actually changes
an existing instance of an option, only adding the option with the designated
value if it is not already existent in the file.

    thanks, Richard Sims, BU
