Hi folks,
For your comparisons:
ADSM: 3.1.2.20
AIX: 4.3.2
HW: SP2 Silver Node (4x332 MHz, 2 GB RAM)
Database striped across 4 x 9.1 SSA 160 disks and mirrored to four more, with
6225 adapter with FWC
Log has the same set up (the logs primary four disks are the databases mirror,
and vise versa)
DB hit rate: >98%
DB size: 4988 MB
Percent used: 16
Buffer Pool Pages: 32 768
Here is some summary data: (expiration starts at 11:00)
Time(s) Objects Objects/ s
*-------------------------------------------------------------------
454 404048 889
412 401168 973
...
420 427680 1018
Our database isn't very big, but these numbers seems high, in comparison. As
the DB grows does performance really drop off?
Cheers Miles

Hi All,
I am running some performance stat's on our Adsm servers and I am interested
to have some numbers from different platform, version, etc ...
( Statistics coming from last 10 days in activity log
Obj/s = Number of expired objects / (End expiration - Begin expiration)
in second
)
Server Os Adsm DB Objects Expiration
Server Os Adsm DB Objects Expiration Obj/s
------ -- ---- Used Avail Avg

SP2 HighNode 4 ways Aix 4.3.1.0 3.1.2.42 1,691,328 / 2,432,000

S7A 4 ways Aix 4.3.2.0 3.1.2.40 205,112 / 512,000

I am really surprise that our S7A expire at the same speed as our old High
node (despite the
S7A is also running a development dataware-house)
Any comments or numbers are welcome.
Thanks,
