We've seen this before ourselves. Usually the reason is that we have a
parameter(re-use delay period) set so that even though the information on these
tapes has been moved to other tapes by ADSM, the tapes aren't called back for 7
days. This way if we have to restore the ADSM database to a point any
time in the last 7 days the tapes required for ADSM would still have the correct
data on them.

Subject: "FULL" volume has no data - but unable to delete
the volume?
We have a tape that is off site which we can't seem to bring back onsite
through the normal processes.
The tape was reclaimed yesterday, but has a status of FULL although
utilization is at 0 and reclaimable is at 100%. Q content shows no match, but
we are not able to delete the volume from the stgpool, even with
discarddata=yes. We get a message that the volume "still contains data".
Following is the output of some queries and commands regarding the tape and the
reclamation process.
If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
