Hi Neil,

From what I can tell, you aren't doing anything wrong, but our
code is not parsing the CLUSTERNODE option correctly. This is
APAR IC25014.

We do have a fixtest available for this on the IBM ftp site.
Here is the URL (take a deep breath, it's a long one!):

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/patches/client/v3r7/Windows/v371/i386

From there you should be able to navigate to the fixtest. All
the files begin with IP21806_01. Download the .EXE files and
the .BAT file, then run the .BAT file extract the install
image. NOTE: The .BAT file should be run from the NT command
line prompt. Do not try to run it from Windows Explorer or
the Start/Run facility.

From there, installation is as usual.

Hope this helps,

Andy

"The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked."

I have successfully installed v3.7.1 client software to local disks on each
node of my NT cluster. The TSM scheduler services which I installed to back
up the local disks work fine.

I have a cluster resource group called SAPDB containing a number of disks.
One of these disks (V:) has a DSM.OPT file with clusternode set to yes and
the domain set to the names of the disks in the resource group.

I am using the following command to install a schedule service to backup
the resource group:
dsmcutil install /name:"TSM Scheduler SAPDB" /clientdir:D:\TSM\baclient
/optfile:V:\TSM\baclient\dsm.opt /group:SAPDB /clusternode:yes /node:SAPDB
/password:123456

Although I get a "The service was successfully started." message, the event
 log immediately shows me:
Scheduler exited unexpectedly with a result code of -1. (Event ID 4099)
and then
Scheduler will be restarted in 20 minutes. (Event ID 4098)

and the following error occurs in the DSMERROR.LOG:
01/06/2000 19:52:36 ANS1107E Invalid option/value: '-ClusterNode='Yes''

What am I doing wrong?

Neil Schofield
