Alyn,

I noticed that your Copy Modes are set to Absolute. Files bound to these
management classes will be backed up regardless of whether they change or
not.

Subject: Re: AW: two Management Classes for one node

Please let me know if I m correct,
I have created a Policy Domains called ITA which has two Management Classes
called:
ITA-COLD-ARCH-APPLTOP and ITA-EXPORT

The ITA-COLD-ARCH-APPLTOP Copy Groups is specifications are as followings
Versions Data Exists 1
Versions Data Deleted 1
Retain Extra Versions 30
Retain Only Version 60
Copy Mode ABSOLUTE
Copy Serialization DYNAMIC
And ITA-EXPORT Copy Groups is specified as followings
Versions Data Exists 7
Versions Data Deleted 1
Retain Extra Versions 30
Retain Only Version 60
Copy Mode ABSOLUTE
Copy Serialization DYNAMIC

Then following lines are added to excludefile
INCLUDE /.../*
INCLUDE /tmp/ ITA-EXPORT
INCLUDE /home/dub05317/ ITA-COLD-ARCH-APPLTOP

Then I have created a schedule called: TEST-MANGCLASS which is as
following
Action : Incremental
Options: -subdir=yes
Objects: "/tmp/" "/home/dub05317/"

I expecting the content of /tmp directory to have 7 copies of changed
file
  ??? TRUE
And to be able to restore the old version if I wanted too. ????
For test I went to /tmp created a file  then run the
TEST-MANGCLASS > after the completion  changed that file 
done another backup using TEST-MANGCLASS schedule. Now I should be able to
restore the old version if I want too, RIGHT???
I went to Restore  selected Point in time  even tried
active
and inactive, etc it did not restore the old version, I even can t see the
old version, In my opinion it s not keeping the old version.

Please help

Appreciate
Alyn
