Peter, Alexandre,

        ok ... find here attached the C-source.

Two things:

1) You won't be able to find too many comments, 'cause the source is  
   self explaining ::).

2) Although I'm using it everyday in a production environment, I'm  
   asking you to test it thorougly before using it!
