Residency Announcement:  ST-0461 Tivoli Storage Manager Reporting

Benefits to Resident:  The resident will acquire the latest details and
perspective on Tivoli Storage Management and, in particular, Tivoli Storage
Manager  reporting solutions  in an environment that allows experimentation and
discussion with expert peers in this field. The interaction with development
will give the residents a new view of the strategic directions of this emerging
and important area. This knowledge will be particularly important to residents
where consultancy and services are involved.

This residency begins 07 Feb 2000, ends 17 Mar 2000 (6 weeks), and requires 3
residents.



Description:  This project will deliver an implementation guide, covering the
implementation and exploitation of Tivoli Decision Support in conjunction with
Tivoli Storage Manager, for providing important decision-making information
about enterprise data management deployment.

Objectives:  The residency will produce material that can be used to assist the
network storage manager to monitor, understand, and react to key systems
indicators within the Tivoli Storage Management environment. Information
gathered by this solution is key to the further deployment and usage of an
effective enterprise-wide storage and data management solution.



This residency is suitable for Customers, Business Partners, and IBMers.

A basic requirement for all residents is the ability to read and clearly express
concepts and procedures in common English.

Resident Prerequisites:  Tivoli Storage Manager 3.7 understanding, Understanding
of the needs of capacity planning in a networked environment
