Hello,

The correct fix is to install the base 3.7 WINNT client...

...but if you do not want to upgrade your base WINNT
client to 3.7...

...the correct "workaround" for this problem is to
copy the old ADSMV3.DLL (3.1 version) into the baclient
directory (or wherever DSMCUTIL.EXE is).
That way, DSMCUTIL.EXE will load that version.

The "small" ADSMV3.DLL in the system32 directory is
supposed to be small because the API is now
contained within the TSMAPI.DLL file (and no longer
in ADSMV3.DLL.)

The "stub" version of the ADSMV3.DLL file is still installed
with the new level of the API for applications that loaded
ADSMV3.DLL (like DSMCUTIL.EXE) and have not yet changed to
the new TSMAPI.DLL.

Thanks,

Del

Use the old ASDMV3.DLL from a previous version, and DSCMUTIL will work
agian. I
have the same problem after installing the Online Agent, it replaces the
DLL
file, with a DLL which is 10 time smaller..? eg. bug in the fix ;-)
