Yes, we are living with this "ONBAR error" for quite a time. With one of
the coming releases of Informix this will resolved.

Meanwhile we do fro time to time a rename filespace of the Informix
dbsaves. Then delete all the Information in the Informix tables about the
saves and then start an informix full save. When this is done we delete the
renamed filesspace.
I know it's a little bit crude, but it works.

Sorry, I accidentally sent my note before I asked the question. Basically,
I can use the unsupported show versions and all of the informix backups are
marked as active even though there should only be 3 versions. I have also
used the select command for backups and they all display as active. The
red book states that informix does not send a delete object back. The adsm
client code is 3.1.06 and the server is 3.1.2.1 for Sun Solaris 2.6. This
isn't an expiration problem since the files are never marked as inactive.
The file name is the same for every backup, only the id that is referred to
in the redbook is unique. Any one have any thoughts on this problem?

Thanks,
Bill Sherrill
