PTF IP21873 Now Available

We have just made Tivoli Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server
We have just made Tivoli Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server
version 1.1.2 (PTF IP21873) available for download. The PTF contains
APAR fixes and also some new function. You can download the PTF from
the Tivoli web page or the INDEX.STORSYS.IBM.COM FTP site.

  The parts:

    IP21873.EXE          - Self extracting install file.
                           Download binary and run the EXE file
                           to install the PTF.

    IP21873.CD.EXE       - Self extracting ZIP file of the PTF CD.
                           Download binary and run the EXE file
                           to extract the installation files into
                           the current directory.  Then run SETUP
                           to install the PTF.

    IP21873.README.1ST   - README file with PTF content information.


Here is just a peek of what the PTF contains:

 Support has been added for SQL Server running in a Microsoft
   Cluster Server environment.

 Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0 introduced the Virtual Device
   Interface for backing up and restoring databases. TDP for SQL
   Server uses this interface when it is available.

 Backup, Restore and Delete statistics are now logged to
   the TSM Server activity log.

 The /recovery option has been added to the RESTOREFULL
   and RESTOREINCR commands. This option applies only when using
   the SQL application client with SQL Server 7.0.

 When using the GUI interface with SQL Server 7.0, tempdb is
   not displayed in the database list.

 Command output, screens, messages, on-line help and
   documentation have been updated to reflect a change in the
   product name from ADSMConnect Agent for SQL Server to
   Tivoli Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server.

 The default value for the /buffers option has been changed
   from 2 to 3.

 TSM API files are installed to a common directory.

 The following APARs have been handled:
   IC22589, IC23902, IC23931, IC24266
