Although it is not implemented via MOVE DATA, this function exists
today in the Tivoli Storage Manager 3.7 product: Portable Backup
Sets.

ADSM server developers:

As you can see from this discussion, customers are going through hoops
attempting to maintain backup tapes which will allow them to restore file
systems as fast as possible.  This is an historic, nagging problem in ADSM.

A very nice enhancement to the server software would be to allow the Move
Data
command to specify Active files, thus permitting contiguous consolidation
of
Active files on a single tape when collocation is set for FILespace.
Similar
control for reclamation would achieve the same effect.  Something like this
would allow customer sites to keep current data together and thus speed
restorals.  This sure would boost *SM's repute in the marketplace and boost
sales!  :-)
