I have done a quick trawl of the Tivoli and Redbooks sites for information
on the features and benefits of DRM to prepare a reasonably high level
report, but want to make sure that the information I'm working on will be
current.
What I plan to work off is the basic DRM introduction in the old v.2 'ADSM
Concepts' guide, and I would be assuming this functionality has been
transplanted wholesale to the ADSM v.3.1 DRM module for NT.
Also, coming right up to date, are the server-to-server features that now
form part of Tivoli DRM v.3.7 any different to those found in the ADSM
Server-to-Server redbook?
If anyone has any general comments on whether DRM offers any real advantages
over well documented manual DR procedures and tape management scripts (not
that I would ever presume to claim this 100%, you understand) in terms of
maintainability, flexibility etc. these would also be most welcome.
