You could split too many hairs with such a scenario.
The only way of getting anywhere close to a good idea
when it comes to having a good backup is to attempt an actual
restore of the data from the actual tape. A different restore
location is a good short test. Even then, time
dust and other things could cause the tape to go bad.
Queries of the Content, etc are only going to show you
what the DB THINKS it has available. The tape is only
actually read in a few circumstances....

CHECKIN LIBV
LABEL LIBV
AUDIT LIB with CHECKL set
AUDIT VOL
